History
The Gipsy Moth made a major contribution to the growth of private and sport flying between the wars. About 1000 were built at Edgware and were used in clubs and schools throughout Britain. Some were used as trainers by various air forces. This was also the aircraft in which Amy Johnson made the first woman solo flight from England to Australia in May 1930.
