i am trying to fill in the gaps in my family history my uncle raymond french was lost at sea in 1941 on the commonweath war graves commission he is listed as being on hms goshawk yet on this site he is listed as being on the hms daedalus can someone explain to me what the difference is please my mum remembers hiom with a hat that said hms daedalus she was only 10 tears old at the time i think it is important we know our family history and as i have 4 children of my own i shall ensure they will know the bravery all of these men lost in the war.
