Rupert Davies was a leading actor in Luft III with John Casson

Notable post-war TV actor as the BBC Inspector Maigret detective in the early 1960s

Crew baled out.  Sub Lt GMMC Wheeler killed, Sub Lt LA Cross, severely wounded and on bailing out parachute failed to open - killed. Dawson baled out and subsequently interned by the French at Dakar At Dakar  freed 10.42

Died from severe wounds 5 days after being captured by the Germans.

Donaghue, F/O RAAF and Wallace KS AG both POW. McWilliams, NR Lt RANR missing/killed.

Brown, GR Lt, Drake, RG Sub Lt and TAG RH George, 700 sqdn HMS Malaya, 8.3.42. Ran out of fuel whilst shadowing German battleship Scharnhorst. Was rescued and interned by the Spanish.  The POWs later released after internment in Spain. 

The Swordfish was addes to the Spanish air force as HR6-1 on 6.12.43, retd 3.45 at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria 

The crew was later released 1942.

Butterworth, WS Sub Lt POW, Dyke, VJ Sub Lt Died of wounds and Jackson, RJ TAG POW  of the Germans. German POW Died of wounds as POW 22.6.1940
