Jackson, JD Lt, Corbett, JWS Lt Cdr d Bugden, WH L/A TAG 826 albacore sqdn all taken POW 17.3.42. Failed to return to Berka satt., after  4 albacores took part in a dusk torpedo attack on heavily escorted italian troopship Victoria. Two hits were scored, then the Albacore crew was shot down, and picked up from their dinghy after 24hrs, by an Italian hospital ship.  Italian POW  Released by the Italians 1943

Butterworth, WS Sub Lt, Dyke,VJ Sub Lt and Jackson, RJ TAG  826 sqdn 21.6.40 FTR Albacore attack on De Kooy airbase and Den Helder naval  base, Holland. The Albacore was shot down by Bf109s over Texel  Wadden sea island, and crashed near Dechavij Insel. Butterworth, Dyke and Jackson were all taken POW  by the Germans. German POW  Died as POW 18.1.1945

Hearn, HNC Sub Lt, Cheetham, HA Sub Lt  and Jago, CD  TAG 825 sqdn all taken POW on 23.9.40, after an operational attack on Trondheim. they ran out of fuel, and force landed on Leka island, North of Namsos. All were interned in Sweden.  Interned Sweden  Released

Jago, J de F Lt Cdr, Caldecott-Smith, JA Lt, and Beagley, PN  TAG 815 sqdn all POW 13/14.3.41. They failed to return after a night attack on Valona harbour. All picked up by an Italian Gunboat and taken POW by the Italians. Italian and subsequently German  POW 1945

FTR HMS Victorious, after the raid, the albacore was shot down by a Bf110, in their torpedo attack on ships anchored in Boksfjord. they crashed in the sea near Vardo. all were taken POW.  German POW  1945

Jopling, A PO (P) and Lt JS Manning (CO) of 800X fulmar Flt, of Hal Far.  FTR 7/8.10.1941 to Hal Far after a night patrol over Sicily. Flak hit 
the fulmar's glycol tank while they were machine gunning Gerbini airfield. they force landed off Syracuse. Both were taken POW.
