The aircraft was repaired and flown by 9th Gruppo/4th Stormo, abandoned at Tripoli unusable on 23.9.1942.

Poynter took part in the Stalag Luft III Great Escape in 1944. Recaptured and returned to Luft III, Sagan. Survived subsequent Gestapo murders (See Reference)
