History


HMS Athene was an Aircraft transport built at Greenock as a mercantile Clan Brodie, and launched 12 October 1940, converted with no flight deck and transferred to the RN. Athene reverted to mercantile Clan Briodie 1946, and scrapped at Hong Kong in June 1963.
