In April 1945 the squadron embarked on HMS Begum for the Far East, to
join Mobile Naval Air Bases for air sea rescue duties.
In May 1945 B Flight joined MONAB No 4 at Ponam, and thence embarked
on HMS Reaper in October 1945.
In June 1945 A Flight disembarked at Maryborough to join MONAB No 6 were it was still stationed at VJ-Day.
