Became HMCS Magnificent (Canada)
In May 1953, HMCS Magnificent, with 871 and 881 squadrons embarked, represented Canada at the Coronation Review at Spithead. Magnificent took part in the Suez crisis in the Middle East in 1956 she arrived in Port Said, Egypt, with a deck load of vehicles and army personnel as Canada's contribution to the UN presence there.
Magnificent was returned to RN control in 1957, placed in reserve. Stricken 1965. Broken up.

Broken up. Notes Originally part of the Colossus class, these last six ships were completed to a slightly modified design more suited to operating heavier aircraft.
