HMS Vengeance as Minas Gerais A-11
The HMS Vengeance's fate hangs in the balance. On Tuesday 16th October 2001, HMS Vengeance was de-commissioned as "Minas Gerais" by the Brazilian Navy and is currently at the Naval Dockyard at Rio de Janeiro. The proposal is being made to convert the ship into a floating museum. Finance is being raised for purchase costs.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We need to secure finance immediately towards the purchase of the ship in the HMS Vengeance Campaign, leaving further funding needed in the short-term to establish the Museum. We are confident that, with help, this gap can be closed. If you would like to support Vengeance Naval Aviation Heritage Museum and the Friends of HMS Vengeance  to get this historic ship back to the UK, please contact Email: vengeancecampaign@fleetairarmarchive.net

About your donation

While the project has the endorsement and support of a broad range of the national community, it is important to raise the seed money to finance this venture. The HMS Vengeance Campaign has already committed itself to a fund-raising campaign with a goal of a few million pounds sterling over the next four years. However, tangible results from other sources may tip the balance in our favour by demonstrating financial support from all over the UK.

Until recently, this project has been funded by the individuals and families of the organizers -- all normal people with normal jobs or in retirement. To go on, we need others to help shoulder the financial load.

We also recognize that many of you are not in a position to make monetary contributions. For that reason support will be broadly defined, to include in-kind donations of products and/or services, and also volunteer assistance.

We hope to kindle your enthusiasm and enlist your support. Please be as generous as you can with your contributions, and we look forward to working with you in the future.
